Capital Spirits’ new standing seam metal roof serves two purposes…

1. A replacement for a leaky old asphalt roof.

2. An eye-catching background for roof-mounted channel letters.

A wash lit, dimensional sign panel and three, 20 foot retractable awnings now identify and protect the new dining patio at Bloomfield Village Pizza.

A one-time dreary carport is now a welcome addition for four season dining at a popular pub. ARTfx designed the enclosure with removable windows and attractive louvres to facilitate air flow.

Stainless steel serving stations dated the look of a four-star buffet. The hotel considered costly renovations, but ultimately saved a bundle of time and money with ARTfx’ hand-painted “wood.”

ARTfx transformed the grand lobby of Hartford, Connecticut’s Convention Center with a kiosk featuring interactive touch-screens and a 10′ x 10′ high-resolution electronic message center.

Brought back from the mid-20th century, the pylon sign for Groton Shoppers Mart should stand the test of time for another 65 years.

ARTfx designed and fabricated this photo portrait timeline of Mandell Jewish Community Center presidents dating back to the early 20th century. The individual stud-mounted plaques are laminated photos between matte clear acrylic and stained oak.

ARTfx built a durable canopy for a popular seafood stand aside the Connecticut shore. Welded aluminum fabrication coated in epoxy paint withstands 125 mile-an-hour winds and years of salt and sun.

At a well-respected preparatory school, the entry sign forms the first and last impression. Its design and fabrication require a level of quality commensurate with the institution it represents.

A sign should be proportionate to its environment. Additionally, the positioning must capitalize on the best vantage point regarding both legibility and architectural balance.

A local law firm’s relic of a sign was found guilty of negligent representation, but in the end, acquitted with a dramatically modern makeover.

ARTfx designed an integral logo, awning and frieze for Frame Dimensions in Manchester, Connecticut.

A dreary strip center receives a facelift in just two days with premanufactured ARTfx architectural components.

ARTfx recently updated signs at The Ledges in Groton, Connecticut. Our design team referenced the natural hues of nearby boulders and ledges for an integrated color scheme.

In Northampton, Massachusetts, a worn-out oversized awning and canopy were nothing more than a thorn in Thorne’s side. ARTfx alleviated the pain with dimensional aluminum, halo-style letters for a neatly-tailored update.

ARTfx renamed this center in Windsor, Connecticut, and designed a new sign featuring tenant logos. From there, our in-house attorney, Shaddy Kessing, masterfully guided the concept through stringent town zoning with a variance, making it possible for our fabricators and installers to bring the concept to life.

ARTfx designs and builds signs for Washington Prime, owners of over 100 retail centers across the United States. For The Plaza at Buckland Hills, Manchester, Connecticut, four towering pylon signs advertise the center itself along with 14 tenants.  

A case of suburban blight… perhaps one of ARTfx’ most dramatic makeovers, this office park / retail directory once epitomized everything that could go wrong with a frequently altered sign. Simplicity and uniformity were key ingredients in the renovation.
