Signage and Architectural Fabrication
ABOUT ARTFX
Some of the world’s most sensational signage, architectural fabrication, and corporate art originates at ARTfx. Our Bloomfield, Connecticut, staff includes designers from the nation’s leading art schools, craftsmen with decades of industry experience, and project managers with a diversity of backgrounds – all committed to the model set forth over 40 years ago. Though our work has increased in scale and scope, the focus on artistry and attention to detail remains as it was the day the doors opened in 1983.
Featured PROJECTS
T.F. Green
At 20’-0” high x 102’-0” long, this airport ID on I-95 (one of two) is hard to miss. 117,000 lumens of LEDs uplight 10’ high x 2’ deep letters weighing an average of 1200 pounds apiece. The internally illuminated channel letters below feature trimless ½” thick acrylic faces.
Brown University Penner Field House
When Brown University updated their sport teams’ mascot, “Bruno the Bear,” ARTfx reproduced the emblematic carnivore in multiple materials and sizes. One crowd favorite, a red, halo-illuminated, five-foot fella, greets athletes to the Penner Field House, the campus’s new 76,000 square foot indoor turf facility.
Greylock Glen
An ARTfx designed exhibit at the Greylock Glen Outdoor Center in Adams, Massachusetts, portrays the biodiversity of the local forest environment. In the center of the space, a contemporary ceiling fixture illuminates life-sized, translucent acrylic birds. Seven species, hung with thin aircraft cable, represent the area’s abundant avian life.
Sally’s Apizza Woburn
ARTfx is proud to be affiliated with Sally’s Apizza, a legendary restaurant founded in one of the world’s most notorious pizza meccas, New Haven, Connecticut. The location to the left, in Woburn, Massachusetts, is one of the first in a regional expansion.
CIGNA Wilde Campus
Polished stainless steel, halo-style letters cast a vibrant contoured glow on a seamless, 18’ long, brushed stainless steel background. This sign is one of several ARTfx built and installed on Cigna’s main campus.

The Main Pub
6” deep and 3’-6” tall, a lion’s head adorns the stage of a popular Manchester, Connecticut, night club. Three-days of hand-sculpting and another day of applying $800 worth of gold leaf wasn’t cheap, but in justifying the expense, the club owner summed up the purchase as the “perfect Instagram-able nicknack.”
Congregation Shaare Zedek
Sacred Hebrew bible scrolls, or “Torahs,” are encased in a holy ark. For Congregation Shaare Zedek in New York City, ARTfx built a contemporary, sliding door ark in dark walnut, bronzed aluminum, and multi-toned acrylic. Original concept and design by Amy Reichert Designs, Chicago, Illinois.
ELICIT BREWING COMPANY PATIO
ARTfx worked with Elicit management to develop dynamic designs for outdoor biergarten murals. With final selections, our artists projected, traced, and painted the full-sized subject matter.

Featuring an ARTfx logo, the Lighthouse monument sign showcases two of our hallmark faux-finishing techniques – variegated limestone and stained hardwood.
