The Project
Designed by Roll Barresi and Associates, the marquee for RISD’s performing arts center carries three-inch-thick acrylic letters illuminated from a concealed source below. The light reads as part of the building rather than a fixture bolted onto it, so the marquee holds the street without competing with the facade.
